1. What is YCT?
YCT is the abbreviation of Youth Chinese Test. It is an international standard test of Chinese language proficiency to assess the ability of overseas young learners to use Chinese in their daily and school lives.
2. How is the new YCT structured?
The new YCT consists of a writing test and a speaking test, which are independent of each other. The writing test is divided into four levels, I to IV; and the speaking test is divided into the Beginner Level and the Intermediate Level.

3. Why should I take YCT?
As the YCT is intended for young learners whose mother tongue is not Chinese, your competence in Chinese as shown in your scores can serve various purposes:

It will give you an additional edge in language innovation programmes.
4. Are there any exam fees?
In addition to the exam fees, there is an administration fee (£10). The exam fees are as follows:
